This project, high on a hill above Noe Valley, aims to replace congested vertical circulation in a very nice home on a steep lot. Originally a tiny stair led from the top (entry) floor to the second floor, and the bottom floor was serviced only by an exterior metal spiral stair. There are spectacular views to the north and east, towards the bay and downtown. The new stair will make the house much easier to navigate, and on the lower floors it will open up the home to the view.
You will need the Autodesk DXF viewer to see the drawings. Unfortunately Autodesk changed their system...it used to automatically download. You can't see it in Firefox, sorry.
The drawings are perhaps a little hard to read. With any luck, I'll soon have photos of the completed project.
