House in Pasadena

In 1987, after my third year in architectural school, I had a summer job at a little firm in Glendale, CA.  Just before I was due to leave, aclient who wanted to build a "Mediterranean" spec house came in.  The site was on a steep canyonside right on the Pasadena/San Marino border.  My boss gave me the chance to design it. I spent three days (and nights) on it, gave him a set of plans, sections and elevations and returned to Oregon.

This was the result. I didn't participate in the design development or construction documents, but they did adhere pretty closely to the initial concept.
