I did it! I bought a property in Costa Rica. Only 3/4 acre but beautiful, close to surf, easy to build on and with a bit of an ocean view.

Here's the road in. It's a km or so north of Playa Hermosa, which is itself a few km north of Santa Teresa. When I was there to look at the property, Hermosa was going off with perfect glassy head high A-frames.

Here's the view. It's very muggy in August, but yes that is the blue Pacific in the background. As of right now, not a single structure in the view anywhere...that will undoubtedly change.

Nothing on the property besides realtors and cowpies...

There's a little seasonal creek below. I'm sure that will help keep the bugs down.
